![]() Bald of Evil: Roger is completely bald and a complete sociopath, although his personas do have wigs for hair.Yet whenever he auditions for a professional acting role, he is absolutely terrible at it. Bad Actor, Good Liar: Roger is a Manipulative Bastard who can easily deceive others with long-winded scams.Even Stan and Francine at their worst are nothing compared to Roger. Ax-Crazy: At his absolute worst moments, he frequently shows traits of this.Attention Whore: He's this almost all the time as part of being a Psychopathic Manchild.Anal Probing: Roger can learn all the knowledge and memories of a person by putting a finger up their bum.Anti-Hero: A Nominal Hero at best in his better moments. It's possible that Roger's species is hermaphroditic and capable of producing both male and female gametes. He also has the ability to impregnate others (both male and female humans) as seen in 'Deacon Stan, Jesus Man' and be impregnated himself as seen in 'Roger's Baby'. Ambiguous Gender Identity: Roger identifies as a man by default, though he is incredibly gender fluid, acting as masculine or as feminine as whatever disguise he's wearing calls for, and he's also able to grow breasts.Always Camp: LOGO declared him the "Gayest Cartoon of All Time.".An Alien Named "Bob": An alien named Roger. All Take and No Give: He expects others to bend other backwards to do things for him, yet he is often unwilling to perform even simple tasks or small favors for them without getting something in return. In fact, the civilians are absolutely furious when they find out the emperor has been lying to them about the existence of true love, and join the slaves in a slave revolt. Though to be fair, the only members we actually see act like bastards are Roger, the Emperor and his guards. Aliens Are Bastards: His race needs to act like jerks, though it does depend on what person he is portraying with his costumes. If he's out in public, his blood is red, but whenever he's by himself or with the other Smiths, his blood is instead shown to be an exotic color like yellow, purple, blue, or green. Alien Among Us: Has been living on Earth since the mid-20th century, after being abandoned on Earth by his people as a disposable crash test dummy (they told him he was The Decider who would determine if humanity should be destroyed or not). This is actually one of his more positive personality traits. Alcohol-Induced Idiocy: He's extremely prone to it.The Alcoholic: He's often seen drinking. As Hayley pointed out, if he didn't think they cared about him by that point, it was his problem, not theirs. The others actually get indignant because not only has this issue been dealt with before, but in that episode and others they had repeatedly gone out of their way to please his ever-insane needs and desires. It's even lampshaded in the episode "Great Space Roaster," where he reveals that he didn't really feel like a part of the Smith family, which is why he got insulted when they threw a comedy roast for his birthday (at his request). Aesop Amnesia: He's just as bad about this as Stan, if not worse. In April 2014, Roger was voted "Gayest Cartoon Character of All Time" in a first-ever March Madness style competition held by Logo TV. When voicing the character, MacFarlane speaks in a swish accent intended to resemble that of Paul Lynde (who played Uncle Arthur in Bewitched). Aside from catalyzing the plot or subplot with his various personas, and despite his increasingly evident self-interest, he often serves to counsel the show's main characters, by humorously affirming or bluntly disregarding their opinions. This also helps to amplify his pansexuality and androgynous nature, which varies dependent on the plot situation and persona he has adopted. Roger's personas have become a major plot device, with his myriad of alter egos frequently being the subject or facilitator of an episode's main story or subplot. This restriction was soon abandoned and Roger begins adopting disguises and fictitious personas in order to have a life outside the house. ![]() In early episodes of the show, Roger was disallowed from leaving the Smith house in order to conceal his being an alien. His most frequent relationships are the ones with Stan, who despises Roger for his annoying antics despite the fact that he saved his life Klaus, who is Roger's frenemy and Steve, who is Roger's best friend and his usual partner in most of their misadventures around the country. Due to that, Roger does have a love-hate relationship with the Smith family, who care about him despite being his most frequent victims. Over time, the character has also exhibited increasingly sociopathic, cruel, selfish, devious, and depraved behaviors. Roger is usually insensitive and careless he often takes advantage of, cheats, and ridicules people. Jeff Fischer (housemate/friend/rebirthed son) ![]()
